Research firm iSuppli said this year’s global sales of semiconductors and electronic equipment is expected to be much larger than previously estimated decline, but sales prospects in the second half and next year will be better.
iSuppli said in a report this year, the global semiconductor sales are expected to decrease 23% to $ 198.9 billion, previously estimated decline of 21.5%.
And for the automotive, data processing, communications, consumer electronics and industrial applications sales expected this year, fell 7.8 percent to 1.38 trillion (trillion) dollars, the estimated decline of 7.6% higher than before.
iSuppli says lingering economic concerns, and the future is still very low predictability prompted them to cut estimates, and the auto industry decline is mainly due to the electronic equipment sales forecast downward. However, this year the semiconductor and electronics industry is expected to appear changed． |
